Cindy Morrison loves serving others, and one way she loves to serve is through yoga. Her goal through teaching yoga is to make you smile, feel good about yourself and your body. As a retired RN, fitness and wellness are a priority to her as the aging process continues. Cindy is passionate about yoga because it stimulates our bodies, soul and mind. It challenges us and we can achieve it in a personal practice or in a group. No matter how you need to practice yoga to stimulate your body, Cindy will meet you where you are at. She is a wife, mom, and “Mimi” to 6 beautiful grandchildren. Cindy has her 500 hour yoga teacher training from Holy Yoga, and has been teaching yoga for a few years.
Julie Odysseos (McCoy)
Julie discovered yoga 15 years ago and decided to deepen my practice while on a spiritual journey to my inner truth. In doing so, she found herself in a much more relaxed, clear and meaningful place. After many hours of practicing yoga and meditation, she decided to become an instructor to support others on their own journey towards emotional and physical wellbeing. Julie graduated in 2015 from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, in the 200-hour program with Laura McKinzie. In August of 2018, she received her certification for kids’ yoga through Radiant Roots Yoga with Jeanene Farley. This approach is based on cross lateral movement to fully engage the children’s brain, while practicing centering and connection to self.
Yogi Bryan is a Yoga Instructor, Meme Maker, Co-Host of The Yogi Show Podcast. His first introduction to yoga was a Rodney Yee AM Yoga DVD. Bryan liked this because it was only 20 minutes and most of the poses were lying down. He practiced AM Yoga for 2 months regularly and noticed a big improvement with his flexibility and anxiety.
Bryan wanted to share the gift of laughter to the yoga community. He saw the yoga community sometimes took this practice way too seriously. People need to relax and have fun. Life is too short to be so intense. He wanted to create a space for the community where they could laugh. He believes “LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE.”
Bryan’s mission in life is to inspire people to practice yoga so they can develop a healthy body and peaceful mind.

Sarah Barnard started practicing yoga to decompress from a stressful job; working as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Over the years, as her practice deepened and evolved, she began to understand yoga as a tool of personal transformation and empowerment.
Sarah has graduated from RYT-200 program with Life power and RYT-200 from True Hot Yoga. Deeply influenced by Jonny Kest, Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley, and Bernie Clark.
Her class is based on an easy-to-learn method of traditional poses to help develop a healthy-strong body and enhance flexibility; both in mind and body.
Her teaching emphasis is on alignment and anatomy as well as creating and developing a foundation for her students to live and apply their yoga practice in all areas of life. Inspiring them to discover their own unique abilities and strengths.
When she is not taking yoga or teaching, Sarah enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Lori has landed in Phoenix through the route of Canadian origins, and a lengthy Los Angeles base. She has flowed her way through an eclectic teacher life of dance instruction/choreography, academic teaching (including working with several school age actors on film productions), Lagree Fitness coaching, and yoga. Lori completed her 200 hour RYT through LifePower and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She believes your yoga practice should be an experience and that it is so much bigger than the poses. Having moved several times, raising her own children, teaching babies through seniors and riding through her own storms in life; Lori is ready to meet you where you are at. You will feel all of her passions come through in her Yoga’s Arc classes.
Shuchen Chuang is from Taiwan and has been living here in AZ for over 10 years. She teaches Chinese to people of all ages. Over the years, besides cultivating her students’ language skills, she fell in love with yoga, so much so she became a trained yoga teacher.
“Yoga has changed my life greatly. It helped me recover after knee surgery years ago. Not only has yoga improved my health, It has helped me see myself and the world in a different perspective. It has taught me to be humble and honor differences between others and myself, and understand what balance really means. In this modern day, we are always on the go, we forget to take time to enjoy, to appreciate our surroundings, friends and family. Nothing is a quick fix. If you want to change the world outside, you need to change the world inside you, and that is what I love about yoga.“
She enjoys giving the students challenges for personal growth and sharing ideas, doing fun things with her students in class. She often says that nothing is more rewarding than seeing her students achieve their personal goal. After all isn’t that what a teacher wants? To see the students succeed!!
While Naomi has called Phoenix her home for over a decade now, she is a native of the beautiful state of Michigan.
Naomi’s unique career background includes years of leadership and management experience, both in the restaurant and automotive industries, as well as Academic Counseling at the College level. She graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Psychology. She continued her education and earned her MBA in 2010. Naomi’s background is geared around serving and helping people.
As a yoga practitioner for over 15 years, it was not a surprise when she decided to follow her passion of yoga in 2015, earning her 200 yoga certification Dave’s Ashtanga Yoga in Scottsdale, AZ. Naomi has a passion to spread the practice of yoga to anyone who will listen.
When Naomi is not practicing yoga, teaching yoga, or painting; she is spending time with her seven year old daughter and long-time partner. She loves to spend time traveling to visit family and friends back east (preferably during the HOT Arizona summers).
Heidi loves to create a safe environment for yogis to move & breathe however they are needed for that moment, that hour, that class. She implements breathing heavily into her classes to encourage the mind, body & Soul connection. Heidi started practicing yoga when she moved to Arizona in 2005. She immediately loved the practice so decided to become certified. She has her 500 hour master yoga certification through Holy Yoga & Has been teaching for over 5 years. She loves to visit her family in Chicago, rollerblade with her dogs in Chandler & share her love of yoga to all
Alexandra initially came to yoga for the physical benefits, but instead found a lifestyle change. She found inner peace and is passionate about helping others do the same. Alexandra has received training at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Yoga Nidra, Transformational Yoga Coaching, Yoga for PTSD, and Sound Healing. Alexandra believes that everything you’ll ever need to know is within you, and she’s dedicated to helping you see that.
Michelle found Hot Yoga back in 2013 when a friend dragged her to a class during a difficult time her my life. That was her first experience with any type of yoga and she quickly fell in love with yoga as an activity. After 2 years, she finally expanded her “Hot Yoga” horizon and started to incorporate yin and vinyasa into her practice. That was when the real benefits started to calm her anxiety and general body pain. She became a teacher because teaching helped her close the loop by giving back to her students a small portion of the benefits yoga has given her. She have been teaching yoga since November of 2016. She teaches Vinyasa, Bikram style Hot Yoga, Yin, and Yoga for Golf. She has have completed certifications in Vinyasa Flow, Restorative, Yoga for Golf and Human Performance for Athletes (HPA) that melds yoga, pilates, and mindset training all together. She enjoys working with all walks of life, from professional athletes, young kids, to the elderly. She feels she has something to offer to anyone.
Noell Hyman came to yoga while recovering from a dance injury and found that the practice gave her many of the rewards that dancing gave her, but in a way that felt more healing and whole. Later, with the guidance and suggestion of a physical therapist, she used yoga to deal with some chronic breathing, nerve, and spine problems. Now she incorporates her knowledge and experience from dance training and physical therapy, along with her specialized yoga training in how to help chronic pain and conditions, to guide students through a balanced yoga practice that feels healing, strengthening, and meditative, and where appropriate, challenging and artful. She infuses her passion for harnessing the power of breath and spinal movement to soothe the central nervous system and support a stronger, healthier spine; for relieving joint tightness in order to free the joints for deeper work; and for exploring the various paths our bodies can take as we grow into strengthening postures.

Mel began her yoga journey after the birth of her daughter. As a full-time new mom, yoga helped her work through severe postpartum depression and anxiety. She found a sense of peace and self-worth through the healing nature of the practice. She credits yoga for being the catalyst for major transformations in her mind, body, and consciousness.
Mel strives to create a safe space where students can dive into their exploration of self-study. Blending playfulness and conscious movement, she encourages students to cultivate a powerful sense of presence, steadiness, and ease to take with them on and off the mat.
She is honored and humbled to share the wisdom of yoga with others. She has a steadfast belief in the healing power of yoga, and considers it a gift to share her passion for the practice. She has the deepest respect and reverence to her incredible teachers, students, family, and friends who continue to inspire her and light her path.
Mel completed her 200-hour yoga teaching certification under John Salisbury through Modern Yoga in Scottsdale, AZ. She continuously attends workshops and studies yoga scripture to expand her knowledge as a student and teacher.
Serena Fine has been practicing yoga for the past decade and made the shift to teach a year ago after coming out of yoga class completely exhilarated and wanting to help others to experience the same. Since making her decision to teach, her dedication to deepen her knowledge has only grown. Serena completed her 200-hour Yoga Teach Training, as well as Restorative Yoga specific training, and is currently working to complete her 500-hour advance training at an Ashtanga based school and is also training in Reiki. Serena has taught a variety of styles of yoga which include Kid’s Yoga, Yoga for Seniors, Yoga for Beginners, Yin, Restorative, and Vinyasa. Serena’s personalized style is a mixture of Yoga Flow with techniques that incorporate her love of Kundalini and core building exercises that she has practiced through her fitness training over the last several years. With every style Serena teaches, there is a strong emphasis on breathwork techniques. With her growing knowledge Serena has a love to share her style with others, helping them on their journey both on and off the mat.
Julie began studying yoga in 2002. She has been a registered nurse since 1992 with 8 years experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse. Julie is passionate about bringing her nursing background into the yoga studio and helping students achieve and maintain range of motion. Julie’s teaching style is playful and inclusive. She has experience teaching prenatal, chair, yin, nidra, restorative and flow classes. She is currently completing her studies in a 500-hour yoga therapy program.
Maggie started teaching Body Flow (yoga, pilates and tai chi) in San Diego. This was her first experience with yoga and as an instructor. She fell in love with this class and still teaches it 15 years later. After moving back home to Indiana, she realized the yoga aspect of this class was calling her; mentally and physically. Maggie went through her yoga teacher training at Cityoga, in Indianapolis, IN. She was teaching for about two years when she had her first son. She and her family moved to Phoenix in 2012. Since BodyFlow is only in gyms, this is where she began working. She has learned a lot while working in gyms. There are many different levels of experience, flexibility, strength, etc. She knows how to help people modify poses and make their practice fit their needs. She has also been working in studios, teaching a variety of styles; Yin, Vinyasa, Vin/Yin, Hatha, Slow Flow, etc. Maggie is passionate about yoga. She loves helping people reach their goals, whatever they may be. Maggie is also very passionate about her family. She has a husband and two little boys. They keep her active and young!
My heart is centered in Peace and Love, rooting my teaching principles into a traditional approach of gentle self realization. I enjoy creating space for all walks of life to come together and nurture the mind, body and spirit.
Classically trained in Ashtanga yoga as well as Vinyasa flow with a heavy emphasis on Yin Yoga. Paired with my studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Thai Yoga massage, Reiki Master Certification and my energetic gifts. I create a safe, playful and peaceful space for us to nurture our Human.

Robert has been studying and practicing yoga, meditation and spiritual development since his early 20’s, both in America and abroad. He is a certified yoga teacher and additionally practices and teaches various energy healing arts including reiki and sound healing and sound meditation, with his many bowls, chimes and bells, drums and flutes, and other instruments. He is particularly drawn to Presence and mindfulness techniques, learning from many teachers and disciplines including Russian mystic George Gurdjieff, Ramana Maharshi and Advaita Vedanta, Yoga and Yoga Nidra, Tibetan Buddhism, Eckhardt Tolle, Jon Kabat-Zinn and others.
Robert was a professional environmentalist/ naturalist for much of his adult life, and still enjoys spending quality time in nature with his son and wife of 20 years. Robert and his family lived on Bali, Indonesia for about 7 years (2010 – 2017), where he taught environmental issues in two international schools and led visitors on spiritual tours to sacred indigenous landscapes, holy sites, and healers on that very special island. He now does similar tours here in the great American Southwest.

After years of suffering from anxiety and depression, as a result of untreated alcoholism, Kamara began her yoga journey in July of 2016. Thru her daily practice, Kamara began to adopt the tools and incorporate her conscious breathing off the mat into the real world, finding a sense of peace and growing balance in her life where there was once only powerlessness and disease. Kamara’s drive to help other woman began once she reintroduced herself into the program of alcoholics anonymous. Reclaiming the principles and 12 steps into her life and creating a powerful foundation for all of life’s struggles.

Vanessa was born and raised in Brazil and started modeling at age 16. Modeling brought an opportunity to travel the world and with that a love for yoga was born. Vanessa has been practicing for over 20 years and enjoyed practicing in lots of exciting, exotic places including Spain, Germany, Japan and Switzerland. She enjoys all different styles including hot yoga, Ashtanga, and Power Yoga. She completed a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification and training in Senior, Prenatal, Yoga Nidra, Body Pump, Roll and Release and Barre. Currently going through a 300 hour with Authentic Yoga! She’s a mother to five beautiful children, including twins! Yoga keeps her sane! She believes practicing can be fun and exciting, and laughter only adds to the beautiful energy of yoga!”

Kelsey is a yoga teacher in the Phoenix valley. She has a passion for bodywork, meditation, energy work and sound medicine. She believes that if we are able to calm the nervous system with the use of vibration, breath awareness and relaxing the physical body, we can access the parts of ourselves that need the deepest healing.
Jennie has been practicing yoga for the last 30 years and teaching it for the past 17. Her strong love of yoga helped motivate her to complete her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2004 in San Diego, and then finish with her 300-hour certification in 2008 in Arizona.
She is also certified in pre-natal, post-natal yoga & Pilates & continues to take yoga workshops and learn from other instructors to keep her yoga knowledge fresh and lively.
Jennie loves the way that all her trainings & certifications blend together so well creating a mind/body awareness. She can teach just about any style of yoga from beginners to advanced, from a gentle Yin class to an active power class, working on breathing techniques, postures, strength, alignment & flexibility. Using all her teaching experiences & workshops with various master yoga teachers from all over the world, Jennie does her best to incorporate everything she has learned to give the best class she can to her students but to also have fun at the same time.
Jessica grew up with a love for sports and fitness, playing organized sports throughout her life. She found her path to
yoga while serving her country in the U.S. Air Force abroad in Turkey. The first class she took was pilates; she loved it so
much she began recruiting co-workers to take classes. When she returned to the U.S., she began Ashtanga classes in a
studio near Washington, D.C. She fell in love with the asana, the physical movement of yoga, and decided to take her
journey further by enrolling in the 600-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe,
Arizona, ultimately graduating in 2015. Through her journey, she discovered yoga is much more than physical
movement; yoga is a way of living, thinking and cleansing of the mind. It is a journey of the self, through the self, to the
self. Jessica’s life has been transformed through yoga and she wishes to aid others in their path to yoga and self-healing.

Sophia is a certified yoga & fitness instructor, and has been teaching internationally for over five years. A dose of inspiration accompanied by a balance of breath, mindfulness, & creative movement are the foundations for her classes. Whether it’s losing yourself in the meditative rhythm of a yoga flow class or finding the strength you didn’t realize you possessed through challenging postures, yoga can be both accessible and beneficial to everyone. Sophia values creating a non-judgmental atmosphere where students can achieve growth & find freedom through connecting their mind, body, and breath. She loves sharing her passion with others, and wants to empower people to be their personal best on and off the mat.
Kelly has been practicing yoga since 2011. With a background in social work, she was quickly drawn to the healing benefits of the practice. She completed her 200 hour training in 2014 and went on to complete her 300 hour at Dave’s Ashtanga Yoga in 2016 under the direction of her teacher, Cheryl Oliver. Kelly enjoys teaching many different modalities of yoga across the valley, including private sessions and small groups. She is privileged and honored to contribute her time and experience to yoga teacher trainings as well. Kelly’s love of travel led her into a partnership with a retreat business in which she helped establish, plan and host yoga retreats across the world. Kelly is most passionate about Ashtanga Yoga and has a daily practice in Ashtanga vinyasa. She is continually taking workshops and classes to improve her knowledge of yoga.
