Yoga with a chair is an effective way to stretch your body and relieve tension all from the comfort of your chair. The practice can be modified to include the chair as a balancing prop while you stand, or gently used as you sit upon it. While seated, this form allows you to exercise versions of twists, hip stretches, backbends, and more. Its benefits include improving flexibility, decreasing stress, and reducing joint strain, particularly among the elderly.

Wear comfortable clothing and have chair ready for practice
